11th Liberty Square Celebration & Lester Flatt Memorial Bluegrass Day- Celebration held on the Square beginning at 9am with the music starting at 12:30pm in historic downtown Sparta. A special tribute to local bluegrass legend Lester Flatt, featuring talented entertainers. Upper Cumberland crafters, food vendors, commercial booths, kids games, rides, “Little Miss & Mister Liberty Square Pageant” (call City Hall to enter 931-836-3248), door prizes and huge fireworks display will fill the day with fun. Shuttle Service Available. 11th Annual Liberty Square Celebration Car and Truck Show adds to the Liberty Square Celebration.

The Sparta Train will be giving rides around the Arena, special outdoor decorations, entertainment, and booths will be available for crafters as well as commercial booths. 100 % of Proceeds go to Tangent Christmas Party for underprivileged kids.

The Rotary Christmas Parade will start at 4:00 at WC High School and end on eastside of town. The Community Christmas Tree will be lighted at the American Legion Bldg. on Liberty Square when Santa arrives to visit the kids and hand out bags of goodies. Prize money for best floats. 2nd Annual Gracemoor Trees of Christmas | View Map |
Individuals, businesses and groups will have decorated Christmas Trees on display 1pm to 4pm.at US Bank on Mose Dr. Hwy 111 in Sparta TN. The public may view the trees and vote for their favorite. US Bank will also host the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open House on December 11th 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the trees to be auctioned at 6:00PM. The trees will remain on exhibit until Dec 27th. Proceeds will benefit Gracemoor, local shelter for domestic violence. Register your tree at US Bank on Bockman Way or Hwy 111.
