White County Food Check Out Day will be at Floyd's Cash Saver Foods from 1-6 p.m., Feb. 12, 2010. Farm Bureau Women, Extension Agents, and additional experts will be on hand to help you learn more about how to  "stretch your food dollar and buy nutritious food." They will also be giving away a gift basket to one lucky entrant. According to Wendy Whiteaker, White County Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent, "It takes five week for the average American to earn enough money to purchase their year's supply of food."

The Annual Gracemoor Valentine Gala will be held
at 6 p.m., Feb. 13, 2010, at the White County Agricultural Complex on the Fairgrounds.

Mid State Gun and Knife Show

Teams of skilled and non-skilled volunteers are assigned to home chosen by the committee, based on applications. The Upper Cumberland Women's Show is a favorite event, with fashion shows, entertainment, vendors - both educational and commercial, with unique and fashionable items in accessories, jewelry, home and garden de'cor.  Stitch and Share Quilt Show, hosted by the Sparta Stitch, Show and Share Quilt Guild will begin on Friday, April 30, 2010 and end on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the White County Agricultural Complex on the fairgrounds in Sparta.
